There is an old adage "everyone has a book in them" and if that is the case then this one is mine. After more than two years of research, writing and painstakingly scanning and downloading photographs, I'm quite certain there will not be another one!
So what's in the book that may be of interest to the reader? Well, obviously there is a full history of the league from 1960 to 2010. There are also chapters about the management committee, our referees and our leading and long-serving clubs - past and present. I haven't attempted to count the number of photographs, but most of the teams that played in the 2009-2010 season are represented, although possibly not from that season. There is also an extensive honours list.
It has been hard work putting this book together, but rewarding and I hope that readers find it of interest. There are many photographs and if you look closely you might just find yourself in one of them if you've played in the league. It has been an honour to be associated with the oldest Sunday League in Kent and while we all enjoy reminiscing about the past achievements of the league, we should look to the future of the competition with anticipation.
